Our pet’s name is Scout Watts. Our son was a Boy Scout at the time we got her plus we liked the same scout for a girl from the book “To Kill A Mockingbird” Scout is a charcoal Labrador retriever. She is AKC registered from a lab breeder in Florida. We met the breeder at 4am one morning as they were passing through Atlanta, and they brought Scout home.
Scout is part of our family. She is the most intelligent dog we have ever had. She can understand more than 50 words, so we always have to spell words that she understands like “Eat”, “Hungry” and “Walk”. She is sweet, loving, always wants to be around us, and is extremely loyal. She loves kids and is very patient with our Cat, Sheba. Scout loves hiking, swimming (you can’t keep her out of the water), playing fetch (she has been trained to retrieve the newspaper), tug of war, chasing squirrels, and of course eating She has gone on many trips with us to the North GA mountains, the beach and different cities, and enjoys going to restaurants that are pet friendly. She has hiked up blood mountain three times, hiked Mt Yonah, and has won two medals for 5k’s she ran/walked.
She has allergies that we have managed with the help of Monroe Veterinary Clinic. She always loves going to the vet, stepping on the scale and getting a treat (she knows the routine), she also loves being boarded there and her “Spa Days” getting a bath and nails trimmed.
