April 2017: Emma Johnson

Emma. Emma Pup, Emmanator, Little Bunny Foo-Foo, The Enforcer (one of our favorites), Rowdy Emma, Our Rowdy Girl, Sassy Pants these are just a few of Emma’s nicknames. The Johnson family was unaware of how their lives would change the day they browsed online looking for an addition for their family. Emma was three months old when they first met her at the adoption facility. They fell in love with her sweet little face and had a bond from day one. Over the months the Johnson family noticed that Emma had some health issues going on and took her to their local Veterinarian in Florida.

Over a few visits the diagnosis was clostridium, bacterial infections; from obsessively eating “water bird poop”. Despite every effort living on the water in St. Pete Florida it was very difficult to control “The Enforcer” from finding her way back to the source of her health issues. Throughout the first year of being with her new family they also discovered that “Emma Pup” had food allergies which resulted in hives and skin infections. Once Emma and her family made the move to Georgia a lot of her health issues resolved and now she is on a special diet that keeps her food allergies in check.

This “Little Bunny Foo-Foo” loves her Mommy and Daddy so much that she guards her home, and her parents with fervor. She may only be 30 pounds but she believes that she is 130 pounds. People sometimes take her leeriness the wrong way but once you pass her “test” of “Okay, you’re safe” she has no boundaries and as a result you are her new BFF and will be forced to play.

Mrs. Johnson stated this about Emma, “Emma is absolutely and definitely the heartbeat of our household! We cannot imagine our life without her! She is our sweet girl, our baby girl and first born, (she thinks straight from the womb!). Emma’s unconditional love, acceptance and unwavering loyalty touches our hearts every single day. She brings us back to earth when either of us is too wrapped up in the insignificant responsibilities of life. She feels our life with joy, she brings the spunk to our home and constantly has us laughing.” but they are not the only ones that feel that way.  We love this sweet girl and the presence that she brings to our office, we can absolutely feel the difference when she is not here. Emma knows when one of us is having a bad day, she comforts us. When we are having a busy day at the office she reminds us to slow down and take a breath by inciting us to come over and play for a little while longer.

In the short time that we have known Emma we have grown to love her, we have experienced almost all of her nicknames and totally see why she has each and every one of them.
